Family Owned and Operated

since 1972

"We believe customer service is the most important part of doing business."

At Preach Building Supply, our PHILosophy has always been a simple one.

Our goal is to offer high-quality building supplies and materials at a fair price while providing outstanding care to every customer we serve. This includes contractors, architects, designers, and homeowner do-it-yourselfers.

Vendor Selection Process

While our philosophy may be simple in its nature, it isn’t necessarily an easy one in its execution.

First, there are countless vendors competing for our business. Their products and reputation must meet our high standards so we feel confident that you, our customer, will receive true value and quality with their products.

These and many other requirements must be met in order for us to add a product to our Line Card. As a result, we take the selection process very seriously.

While we can’t control the products manufactured by someone else, we do our very best to offer only the finest products to you.

Your Preach Experience

When you visit one of our Preach Building Supply locations, our knowledgeable staff is ready to help you with product selection and calculating how much material you’ll need for your project. For stocked items, we’ll load your order in your vehicle promptly so you can get to your project right away.

Or if you prefer, we can arrange to have your order delivered. Our delivery service is Valley-wide and extends beyond the Greater Metropolitan area.

We take great pride in the vendors and products we represent. Also, we’re consistently monitoring quality assurance to maintain a high level of trust.

In addition, we want your Preach Experience to be exceptional – every single time.

Everyone we have dealt with, from the employee taking the order for the rock to the salesperson giving us on advice on the sealant, we were beyond satisfied with our experience with this company and will DEFINITELY be using Preach for all our future construction projects.

Alissa S.

The Preach Advantage

Tackling home improvement projects can be a daunting experience, especially if you’re a novice. Even an experienced do-it-yourselfer might need help figuring out what supplies and materials are needed and how much to buy for a particular project.

That’s why we’re here. Our staff (many are former contractors) offer valuable knowledge and experience when it comes to building supplies and calculating how much you’ll need. That comes in mighty handy when you need some assistance.

Here are more reasons you should choose Preach Building Supply for all your building supply needs:

Passionate

We are passionate about building supplies! And the only thing we are more passionate about than building supplies is helping you with your construction and home improvement projects.

One of our founding fathers, Phil Preach, instilled a great work ethic in all of us. We know one speed and that’s to get things done as accurately and timely as possible!

Convenient

You can buy all of the supplies, materials, and tools you need in one stop. And we’ll load your vehicle right away or have it delivered if you prefer. We know your time is valuable.

Google Analytics uses “cookies,” which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the Sites, compiling reports on the Sites’ activity for the Sites’ operators and providing other services relating to website activity and Internet usage. Do you use third party advertising partners? If so, how can I opt out of targeted advertising?

15. Targeted Advertising and How You May Opt Out
We may use third party advertising partners such as advertising networks, exchanges, and social media platforms to display advertising on the Sites or to manage and serve our advertising on other sites. You have a variety of options to opt out of interest based advertising ranging from browser controls, add on utilities such as ad blockers, and other opt out tools. Other opt out tools may include organizations, such as the Network Advertising Initiative, whose members agree to provide a means for consumers to opt out of the members’ targeted advertising on websites.

Do you have links to other websites on the Sites? If so, which Privacy Policy governs?

14. Links to Other Websites The Sites may contain links to other sites, such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Pinterest. The Privacy Policy only applies to personal information that we collect, use and disclose. We are not responsible or liable for the privacy practices of third parties, and we strongly recommend that you review their privacy policies before you disclose personal information to them.

What types of “cookies” and/or other technologies do we use and how can you manage “cookies”?

13. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Sites use “cookies”, which are small text files placed on your computer or other device when you visit a website. When you visit the site again, the cookie allows that site to recognize your browser. Cookies may store user preferences and other information. There are three main types of cookies:

  • Session cookies are specific to a particular visit and limited to sending session identifiers (random numbers generated by the server) so you don’t have to re-enter information when you navigate to a new page or check out. Session cookies are not permanently stored on your device and are deleted when the browser closes;
  • Persistent cookies record information about your preferences and are stored in your browser cache or mobile device and remain on your device between browsing sessions. For example, a persistent cookie may be used on a website to remember your log-in details so you will not need to enter those details each time you visit that website; and
  • Third party cookies placed by someone other than us which may gather data across multiple websites or sessions.
We use the below listed cookies to perform the following functions:
  • Strictly necessary / technical cookies that are essential to enable you to move around a website and use its features. You cannot withdraw your consent to the use of these types of cookies because without them, the Service cannot be provided.
  • Analytical / performance cookies that collect information in aggregated form about how users interact with the Sites so that we may improve functionality. These cookies are sometimes placed by third party providers which enable features or functionality provided by third parties in connection with the Service. For example, advertising, interactive content, and analytics (see Section 16 below). The parties that set these third-party cookies can recognize your device both when it visits the website in question and also when it visits certain other websites.
  • Functional cookies that allow a website to remember choices you make, recognize you when you return and to personalize content.
  • Targeting / advertising cookies that track browser habits and used to deliver targeted (interest-based) advertising based on your browsing activities and interests. See Section 15 on how you may opt out of targeting advertising.
You acknowledge that where we allow third parties to drop cookies, we have no control over those cookies or the data generated. Please refer to the third party’s privacy policy for information on what information they collect and how they use it. These cookies are likely to be analytical/performance cookies or targeting cookies. Managing Cookies You can manage website cookies in your browser settings, and you always have the choice to change these settings by accepting, rejecting, or deleting cookies. If you choose to change your settings, you may find that certain functions and features will not work as intended on the Service. All browser settings are slightly different, so to manage cookies, you should refer to the relevant settings within your browser. Other Technologies We may use other technologies similar to cookies like web beacons, which are sometimes called “tracking pixels” or “clear gifs”. These are tiny graphics files that contain a unique identifier that enable us to recognize when someone has visited the Sites or opened an email that we have sent them. In many instances, these technologies are reliant on cookies to function properly, and so declining cookies will impair their functioning.

If changes are made to the Privacy Policy, will you be notified? If so, how will you be notified?

21. Privacy Policy Changes We may modify the Privacy Policy to accommodate changes in our services, changes in technology and legal developments. If we make changes to the Privacy Policy, we will provide notice through the Service, or by other means to provide you the opportunity to review the changes before they become effective. For example, we may place a prominent notice on the Sites or e-mail you to let you know of an updated Privacy Policy. If we make significant changes to the Privacy Policy, we will provide at least 30 days’ notice through the Service, or by other means, to provide you the opportunity to review the changes and provide your required consent before they become effective. A significant change may be using personal information for a new purpose or disclosures to new third parties. Five Generations of Arizona Entrepreneurs

For over five generations, the Preach family has owned and operated successful businesses in Arizona.

Frederick Preach was the inspiration behind the Preach business name. After owning and operating United Parcel Post and a brewery, he opened Preach Hardware in Phoenix in the late 1940s.

Frederick’s son, Edward, also owned several Phoenix businesses including a delivery service, pool halls, and United Parcel Post.

In 1948, Edward and his wife Margaret started a new company, EJ Preach Masonry.

Initially, EJ Preach Masonry was a custom home building business, and later they built brick manholes for various cities in Arizona.

When Edward passed away, his wife Margaret, along with two of her sons, Phil and Craig, continued to run the business.

Frederick Preach, the inspiration behind Preach Building Supply

Preach Building Supply Was Established

In 1972, Phil, his mother, and brother Craig realized there was a growing need for building material suppliers in the north Phoenix area. As a result, they opened Preach Building Supply to cater to contractors and do-it-yourselfers, which is the same customer base they serve today.

Over the years, Preach Building Supply has employed more than 50 family members spanning four generations, as well as many non-family employees. Although, when you work at Preach, everyone is family!

The Preach Future

Preach Building Supply has grown from a small store on 1st Street and Dunlap to its current location on Hatcher Road in Phoenix. The opening of their Landscape store on 16th Avenue and the opening of their largest store in Buckeye, Arizona, as well as the development of other businesses, have kept the family very busy.

With their unparalleled dedication to selling only the highest quality products at a fair price while providing outstanding customer service, Preach Building Supply has continued to thrive. Looking forward, the family plans to honor their commitment to excellence in all aspects of the industry.

Preach was built, and continues to stand, on the principles of a strong family foundation consisting of integrity, dedication, quality and a tireless work ethic. Collectively, these principles have created a strong legacy in Arizona.
